Medieval Times

The other day I was walking through the Marais, which is a very popular area of central Paris and also happens to be quite old, which is like a thing here. The streets are narrow and the buildings are quite tall and it all resembles a medieval quarter. It's really, really charming.

So, I'm walking. Minding my own business, like I do. Probably eating something. Anyway.

Out of nowhere, water comes from the sky. Not rain, oh no, like a bucket of dirty, unidentified water. I look up and realize that someone is pouring water out their window.

Now, it's one thing to live in a medieval looking area. It is quite another to act like it's 1430 and completely forget that we have indoor plumbing.

Seriously, come on.

  2. I feel like getting dripped on with gross stuff is a regular occurrence here and it just...should not be.
